Senior Export Manager, Export Department
A leading tyre manufacturer within CIS, producing over 200 different tyre sizes for dumpers, road-building and industrial vehicles, agricultural machines and implements, trucks, buses and passenger cars.
During my work period there I have been in charge for exporting products (tyres) to the regions as follows: Italy, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Turkey, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and African countries. Established and successfully developed the project of exporting giant Off - The- Road BELSHINA branded tyres to new strategic destinations: Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. Concluded and executed export contracts with key customers-end users operating open-pit mines in Australia, Singapore and Africa. In 2005 we generated an export turnover of $ 132.0 m. During my stay in position here we achieved a sharp increase in tyre export sales up to 135,2 % comparing to 2003 as well as in currency returns from $ 12,5 m per year up to $ 132.0 m. per year.
Duties:
- Search for new customers and create a permanent customer base.
- Plan, prepare and arrange negotiations with customers.
- Prepare and provide commercial offers, send offers to customers for their consideration and acceptance and follow up submitted offers.
- Process customers’ inquiries taking into account customers’ desired terms and conditions.
- Conclude contracts with customers and agree different payment terms for goods (Payment in advance, L/C, Bank Guarantee, Deferred payment, etc.).
- Work out weekly, monthly and yearly production program of goods.
- Liaise constantly with production to order goods to be manufactured according to contracted quantities and specifications, control the production term and the readiness of goods.
- Execute all necessary formalities to make manufactured goods ready for shipment.
- Liaise constantly and accurately with customers to co-ordinate shipment of goods.
- Liaise constantly with customs to arrange customs clearance of goods to be shipped in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare and check up shipping documentations (Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Customs Declarations, Certificates of Origin etc.).
- Control payments for goods from customers’ side and liaise with operating banks and financial establishments and departments, keep records of currency returns in an accurate manner.
- Liaise with different forwarding companies to ensure the delivery of goods to customers at the cheapest rates and in the shortest term.
- Maintain daily customer contacts and further develop existing accounts.
- Maintain all export files in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in international specialized exhibitions and trade fairs.
